Franchising Exploration Announcement

—- AN ANNOUNCEMENT, NOT AN OFFERING FROM CEO SHAUN CHARLES 8/22/2026

We’re deciding whether to franchise Beacon

After eighteen years building a senior care agency across seven Bay Area counties, we’re evaluating whether the model should travel. Before we spend a year and a lot of money finding out, we’d like to know if anyone actually wants to build one.

—- READ THIS FIRST

Our goal is to drive growth through the lens of the customer experience

By building a home care community of business innovators and leaders, we are exploring opportunities at the intersection of collaboration and insight to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve growth.

We’re exploring bringing an unparalled opportunity & vision

Beacon is not selling franchises. There is no franchise, no disclosure document, no fee schedule and no territory available for purchase. We are gathering interest to help us decide whether to build a franchise program at all. Nothing on this page is an offer, and we will not accept money, applications or deposits from anyone.

—- WHY WE’RE ASKING

Franchising is a serious commitment. We’d rather test it honestly.

Building a franchise program properly means legal registration, a disclosure document, training infrastructure and a dedicated support team — well before the first territory opens. We’re not going to start that unless there are real operators on the other end.

THE QUESTION

Does the demand exist outside the Bay Area?

We know the model works in seven counties. We don’t yet know whether Sacramento, the North Bay or the Central Valley have the operators and the referral density to support it.

THE SIGNAL

Who would actually want to run one?

The list below tells us which regions draw interest and what kind of background people are bringing. That shapes whether we proceed, and how we’d structure it if we did.

THE COMMITTMENT

What we’ll do with what we learn

If the interest is there, we’ll move into formal development and come back to this list first. If it isn’t, we’ll say so plainly rather than let the page sit here for two years.

—- WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

The honest sequence

So nobody’s waiting on a call that isn’t coming. Each step depends on the one before it, and we may stop at any of them.

Takes a minute. No financial disclosure, no application, no obligation on either side.

We look at which regions cluster and what backgrounds show up. This is the actual decision input.

One email. Either we’re moving forward, or we’re not and here’s why.

Legal structuring, a Franchise Disclosure Document, state registration in California and elsewhere, and building the support infrastructure. Months of work before anything is offered.

When and if there’s something real to look at, the people on this list see it before it’s public.

—- WHAT BEACON IS

The parts of this business we’d be handing over

Context, so you can judge whether it’s a model you’d want to operate. This describes how our own offices run today.

W-2 caregivers, not 1099 contractors

Every caregiver is a Beacon employee. It costs more up front and it’s the reason we retain staff, control quality, and don’t carry misclassification risk.

No hourly minimums

Most agencies won’t take a two-hour visit. We will. It wins the referral, and it’s how a light client becomes a full-time client a year later.

Recruiting as the core discipline

Caregiver supply is the binding constraint in this industry. Our sourcing channels, screening workflow and retention practices are the real asset.

California licensing and compliance

HCO licensure, caregiver registry requirements, background checks, training hours and documentation standards — systematized since 2008.

Local SEO and referral development

City-level content, review generation, and the discharge-planner and case-manager relationships that produce most of our client flow.

Payer diversification

Private pay is the foundation. We’re actively working long-term care insurance, VA programs and California’s CalAIM community supports.

—- QUESTIONS

The things people ask us

No. There is no franchise to buy. Beacon has not registered a franchise offering in California or any other state, and there is no Franchise Disclosure Document. This page exists to gauge whether we should build one.

It does not. Nothing is being reserved, held, promised or allocated. If we proceed, everyone on the list will be contacted and any process will start from scratch for all of them.

We don’t know yet, and we won’t guess. Investment figures only become real once they’re calculated for a Franchise Disclosure Document. Anyone quoting you a number before that stage is making it up.

We can’t answer that and won’t try. Financial performance representations are only permitted through Item 19 of a Franchise Disclosure Document, which doesn’t exist yet.

We’re collecting interest through the rest of this year and will make a call after that. Everyone on the list gets an email with the outcome regardless of which way it goes.

If we build a program, probably not. Some of the strongest operators in this industry come from sales, hospitality, logistics and general management. Managing people and payroll, comfort with a regulated environment, and relationship-building matter more than clinical credentials.

Add your name anyway and tell us where. Our study regions reflect where we could realistically support an operator early on, but knowing where interest actually comes from is useful.

Not a franchise offering. This page is informational and does not constitute an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy a franchise. Beacon Home Care is not currently registered to offer franchises in California or any other state and has no franchise disclosure document. No franchise will be offered or sold until Beacon Home Care is registered, excluded, exempted or otherwise qualified in the applicable state and has provided a franchise disclosure document as required by the FTC Franchise Rule and applicable state law.

No statement on this page is a financial performance representation. Ratings, accreditations and operating details describe Beacon Home Care’s own company-operated offices and are not a projection of results for any future franchised location.
